Professor / Associate Professor (Various Disciplines)

The Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, through Shillong Medical College, runs a Rolling Advertisement (No. SMC-97/2026/Estt./HR/) inviting applications for Professor and Associate Professor posts on a contractual basis across various disciplines. Under this rolling system, cut-off dates are reissued periodically (this version dated 17 September 2026), with eligibility determined as of each cycle's respective cut-off date. Eligible candidates must submit a scanned copy of the application form (Annexure-I) along with supporting documents by email before the cut-off deadline, consolidated into a single PDF. In-service candidates may alternatively send applications by post to the Office of the Director of Health Services Medical Education & Research (DME), Shillong. The Selection Board reserves the right to cancel any candidate's application or the entire panel's selection at its discretion, without obligation to provide reasons.
