Consultant – Tutor (FLN Tutor)

The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust working toward an equitable society through empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities across India, with a focus on Health, Education, Livelihood, children, persons with disabilities, and women. THF has reached 35+ million beneficiaries over 15 years. This role sits under the Hans Learning Bridge – Meghalaya project, a primary education intervention strengthening foundational learning outcomes across 8 government primary schools and 5 Community-Based Learning Centres (CBLCs) in Meghalaya. The FLN Tutor will support children in achieving foundational literacy and numeracy through school and community-based learning interventions, including conducting FLN and remedial learning sessions, assessing learning levels and tracking student progress, supporting CBLCs and learning camps, identifying and supporting out-of-school/irregular children through bridge learning activities, maintaining attendance/assessment/activity records, conducting parent meetings and home visits to encourage school attendance, and coordinating with schools, community stakeholders, and project staff.
