Job Description: About Birangana Mahila Producer Company Limited Birangana Mahila Producer Company Limited (BMPCL) came into existence in the year 2017. It is a conglomeration of women famers from Self Help Groups who are engaged in producing and trading of agriculture and agriculture products through the Company. The company has 2000 share holders from Boitamari Block of Bongaigaon district and also engaged in providing farm mechanization, solar based solutions and credit support. The company was promoted by Seven Sisters Development Assistance (SeSTA) and NGO which is working in parts of North East for agency enhancement of women through women collectives and strengthening life and livelihoods of the families.

Name of Post: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced CEO to manage day-to-day operations of our company. The right candidate must be ready to work in village setup and agriculture based commodities for creating adequate backward and forward linkages along with necessary value addition, packaging, branding and marketing.

Eligibility: We are looking for passionate young persons who have urge to work for developing business and marketing of agriculture based commodities. Graduates and Post Graduates from any stream can apply. Interested candidates who have two years of experience in sales, marketing, business development can apply. Salary/Pay: Salary will be between Rs 16000 to Rs 20000 per month based on experience. Increment subjected to performance and profit of business.

Qualities we are looking for: • Individuals who are passionate and emotionally connected to the issues related to farmers, food, environment, tribal livelihood; who have the sensitivity, empathy and desire to work for addressing various burning issues in the society; • Individuals who want to traverse an unbeaten path, have the perseverance to stay and work in remote and challenging environment and sacrifice little comforts • Individuals who would like to work in a start-up like environment, who are proactive, self driven and • have ability to work independently, handle multiple roles and cope up with the ambiguity • Individuals who can commit at least couple of years of their life, who want to get immersed in the field, work hands-on, take ownership and build something tangible Key Roles and Responsibilities • Oversee the Birangana’s marketing and sales activities; identifying potential buyers; forging new partnerships; devising innovative marketing strategies; handling customer relations, and after sales communications • Participating in the networking events, exhibitions, expos, trade fares on behalf of Birangana to interact with potential buyers and explore market opportunities • Designing and implementing promotional, marketing and branding activities for Birangana on social media, local markets and other platforms • Work together with the field team of SeSTA on crop planning by taking the needs of the market into consideration • Coordinating with the operations team to meet customer demands on time, Oversee logistics, transportation of consignments and order delivery to the customers • Proper documentation at every step and analyzing the data to increase revenue • Contribute to market research, value-chain analysis, costing, new product development • Travelling will be an essential part of the job to engage with SHGS, VOs, PGs • Ensuring various compliances on time • Finalization of Business plans and adherence to the same • Information flow to the Board and Members • Conducting statutory audit and AGM • Looking at the administration and finance related aspects of the FPC • Coaching, mentoring and building the capacity of the team • Long term-short term planning to achieve objectives and milestones on quarterly basis • Set up a review and reporting mechanism at various levels in the team and carry out regular follow up and to ensure that action plan is implemented to reach the milestones • Planning and coordination of regular training and exposure visits of Community Resource Persons • Looking after the deployment of mobile ICT based platform for Data collection from the field and monitoring • Coordinating the process of PGS as well as third party Organic Certification among the farmer and women groups and ensuring documentation and online entry for the same • Documentation and reporting at various levels • Making collaborations with various organizations and experts • Working with various government functionaries to carry out formalities on behalf of the organization as well as to bring convergence of schemes in the field Skills we are looking for • Communication and interpersonal skills, Good at storytelling and articulation, • Innovative and creative thinking, ability to come up with out of box ideas • Sharp Business acumen with good negotiation and convincing skills, ability to identify market trends and new opportunities • Drive to achieve growth, willingness to push hard, ability to get things done, take fast decisions and resolve the matters • Good with numbers and Data, analytical thinking, and creating smart strategies based on analysis • Competent at MS Excel, Power Point and other office tools • Proficient in Hindi and English, Documentation and presentation skills: Verbal, Written and IT • Basic understanding of Accounts management.
